Notopedia is a 12(A) 80(G) Nonprofit organization.
Notopedia was born keeping a single goal in mind - to bring equal opportunity education to everyone for free. We are driven by the idea that given good learning resources, guidance and support everyone can learn whatever they aim to and succeed. Our focus is on making it possible for every child to reach their potential and realize their dreams through education, regardless of what their financial or social circumstances are.
Today, education is increasingly becoming a predatory business where tuitions, coachings and billion dollar companies and online platforms charge tens of thousands and even lakhs of rupees for limited resources and big promises. Clearly, their focus is on maximizing profits rather than providing the best value educational aids. We aim to change this broken system and hope you will join us in our efforts.
We at Notopedia sincerely believe “given the right guidance, determination, resources and opportunity, anyone can learn anything!”
Thus, we have spent thousands of hours creating, collating and collecting an encyclopedia of resources and information to help in each step of your way to academic excellence. We have built this one stop platform for our initiative by sourcing, creating and curating material with help from experts, subject teachers, universities, schools, students and believers in the idea of free education, like you.
Our website is simple, straightforward, multi-lingual, easy to navigate and use and has the largest collection of learning material available for free. We are able to provide this to you with the help of generous individual contributors, volunteers and by showing a few ads on select pages.
As costs for content generation and servers to host and run this service continue to increase we require help in any form we can get. If you would like to find out how you can do more please visit our Donate section.
With the help of people like you we continue to grow and add more resources, listings and jobs to help students move closer to our aim for ‘Education for All’.
We're a small team trying our best to change the way the world learns. Too many people around the country don’t have access to good education materials, or they are forced to learn through a system that doesn't properly cater to their individual needs. We think the technology exists today to fundamentally change this, and we're trying to build the tools and resources every student deserves.
We believe a few great people can make a big difference and thus strive to hire the very best — people who are passionate, thoughtful and creative. We believe it is our obligation to relentlessly focus on what the student values, and make every decision with the student in mind. We hire and collaborate with teachers, subject experts and students across the country to add more resources for you everyday. We believe it is time to break the economic barrier to education.
Spreading the word about the Notopedia is one of the best ways to help us. Each month we serve millions of students, but there's no reason it shouldn't be 500 million. Please take a moment to share this site with your friends and community.

In India, access to education is not always equal, with countless individuals and communities struggling to gain access to quality education.
From poverty, corporate greed, lack of schools and infrastructure, other cultural and societal barriers, such as discrimination and gender inequality, as well as the dearth of trained teachers and educational materials; there are numerous issues plaguing the Indian education system.

We believe that by providing these resources for free, we can help bridge the education gap and give more students the opportunity to learn and grow.
