The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur issued the GATE Scorecard on March 21, 2023. Candidates who gave the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) can view and download their scorecards from the official website.
GATE Scorecard is an important document that will allow candidates to get admission to higher education (such as NITs, IITs, and GFITs) as well as work in PSUs. The GATE scorecard contains important information such as the candidate's marks, All India Rank, the total number of candidates who took the exam, and qualifying marks, among other things. On March 16, IIT Kanpur released the GATE Answer Key 2023 along with the GATE 2023 Result on its official website. Candidates can use the GATE Answer Key 2023 to evaluate their scores.

How To Calculate GATE Scores?
Due to a large number of candidates, some papers in the GATE 2023 examinations are held in multiple sessions. The GATE 2023 score for such subject papers, on the other hand, is calculated by normalising the marks to account for any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across multiple sessions.
The marks are normalised based on the fundamental assumption that 'in all multiple-session GATE papers, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same.' This assumption is justified by the fact that the number of candidates taking the multi-session papers in the GATE 2023 exams will be large, and the method for assigning sessions to candidates will be random. It is also ensured that the number of candidates assigned to each session is of the same order of magnitude.
For all GATE papers with only one session, the actual marks obtained by the candidates will be used to calculate the GATE Score 2023. The GATE 2023 Score, on the other hand, will be calculated using the formula listed below.
