Banaras Hindu University has formed a Central Admission Committee in order to complete the admission processes in a timely and efficient manner for their undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs for the upcoming academic session.
According to BHU, the committee will also redesign the university's various admission bulletins such as UET, PET, RET, and Special Courses of Study. It has also been tasked with developing effective information dissemination tools, such as help videos and help desks, for effective outreach of the university admission system and procedures to assist students and admission aspirants.
Professor Rakesh Raman, Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, chairs the committee. They will also work to improve the admissions system and will take the necessary steps. It will also investigate the online admission mechanism and make any necessary changes.
The ex-officio member of the committee will be the Controller of Examination. Other members include Professor Aditya Tripathi, Department of Library and Information Sciences, Professor Rajesh Kumar, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Umesh Kumar, Department of English, Dr. Chinmay Roy, Faculty of Commerce, and Dr. Sabina Bano, Geography, Mahila Mahavidyalaya. Deputy Registrar (Academic) is the member secretary of the Central Admission Committee.
