Description

The cut-off for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET SS) has been reduced from the 50th to the 20th percentile. This decision was made in accordance with the recommendations of the National Medical Commission, NMC. 

"The issue has been considered by the Ministry in consultation with National Medical Commission (NMC). The NMC has recommended for cut-off qualifying percentile for NEET SS-2023 may be reduced to 20 points. The recommendation of the NMC has been approved by the Hon'ble HFM. It is requested to take further necessary action in this matter," reads a letter by the Government of India sent to the NBEMS, the exam conducting body.

The NEET SS Exam 2023 was held on September 29 and 30, 2023. On October 15, 2023, the authorities announced the results. On November 8, 2023, the counseling session began. Meanwhile, NEET SS round 2 counselling was supposed to begin on December 5, 2023, but it was postponed due to some reasons.
