Description
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has pushed back the exam city allotment date for NEET PG 2024. According to the most recent notice available on the official website, test city allotment is scheduled on July 31. Previously, it was set for July 29. The test city allotment will be done via email rather than the official website.
This information will just include the name of the city where the test centers will be located. Admit cards will contain full information on the test center, including its address. The NEET PG admit cards will be released on August 8.
The Health Ministry postponed the NEET PG 2024 exam, which was originally scheduled for June 23. Later, the NBEMS announced that the exam will be taken on August 11.
After releasing the exam date, the board provided a list of 185 cities where the test will be held and invited candidates to select four. The board stated that test cities will be allocated at random from the cities given by candidates.
It stated that if a candidate's preferred state or union territory has fewer than four test centers available, or if the number of candidates exceeds the number of seats available, the candidates will be given the option of selecting test cities in surrounding states or UTs.
The board noted that a candidate may be denied a test center in their selected location due to overcrowding, logistical, administrative, or security concerns. In such cases, the candidate will be sent to a test centre in one of the nearest available locations.
Furthermore, the board stated that if a candidate does not select a test centre during the designated window, they would be assigned a test centre anywhere in the country.
