GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Before submitting the GATE 2025 application, candidates should check that they meet the eligibility requirements. 

• Candidates who are currently in their third or higher year of an undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.

• Candidates who hold certification from any professional society that conducts examinations in various fields of engineering must ensure that those examinations are accepted by the Ministry of Education/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equal to BE/B Tech/B Arch/B Planning, etc.

• Candidates who have received or are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be in their third or higher year or have finished a Bachelor's degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities.

Steps To Apply For GATE 2025 Registration

• First visit the official website.

• Now click on GATE 2025 registration link available on the homepage.

• Complete registration and then login.

• Fill out the application form.

• Upload required documents.

• Pay the exam fee.

• Submit the form and take a printout for future use.

Documents Required To Filling GATE 2025 Applications

• High quality image of candidate’s photograph conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.

• High quality image of candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.

• Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format (if applicable).

• Scanned copy of PwD Certificate in pdf format (if applicable).

• Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format (if applicable).

• Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.

• The photo ID must have the Name and date of birth of the candidate and unique photo ID number. This photo ID must be carried in original to the examination hall for verification.
