The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a tentative timetable for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2024. The exam is likely to take place on March 29 and 30, 2025. The announcement has been posted on the official website. The final test schedule, as well as the information bulletin, will be made available on the official website.
The NEET SS 2024 information bulletin will update candidates about the eligibility criteria, fee structure, examination scheme, and other details.
They can contact NBEMS through its Communication Web Portal with any questions, clarifications, or requests for assistance.The NEET-SS is an eligibility-based ranking examination for admission to various DM/MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses. In August, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition challenging the National Medical Commission's (NMC) decision not to conduct the NEET SS examination in 2024.
A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justices J B Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra stated the NMC's decision was adequately equitable and refused to change the exam date. In an earlier hearing held in July, the top court issued a notice to the NMC on the plea made by thirteen doctors.
The petitioners cited a previous decision, claiming that NEET SS must be held every year and that the top court has already set the timetable for admission to super specialty courses.
In a recent statement about the preliminary schedule for NEET SS, the NBEMS stated that the schedule was determined with the NMC's approval and in accordance with the Supreme Court's order dated August 14.
