The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will close registration with a late charge for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) on, October 7. Candidates who have not yet applied for the test have till 11:59 pm to submit their applications on the official website.
Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates can apply for GATE 2025 with fees of Rupees 1,400 during the extended window. For all others, the fee is Rupees 2,300. The usual application window for GATE 2025 ended on October 3. During the regular period, the fee was Rupees 900 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates and Rupees 1,800 for others.

When applying for the exam, a candidate has the option of selecting up to two papers. These are the documents required-
A high-quality image of the candidate’s photograph taken as per the specifications mentioned in the information brochure of the test
A high-quality image of the candidate’s signature, as mentioned in the information bulletin.
Category (SC/ST) certificate in PDF format, if applicable.
PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable.
Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format, if applicable.
Valid photo identity document: Aadhar-UID(preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
The examination is planned for February 1, 2, 15, and 16. The exam will be administered in two shifts on all days. The entire exam schedule and admit cards will be given later.
Those with a degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities may apply for the exam. Those who are in their third or later year of an undergraduate program are also eligible to apply. Professional certifications granted by MoE, AICTE, UGC, or UPSC that are comparable to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning degrees are also acceptable.
