The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the NID DAT 2026 Prelims result for the Master of Design (M.Des) programme. Candidates who appeared for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims can now check their scorecards on the official website admissions.nid.edu. The results were declared on February 12, 2026. Candidates must log in using their registered email ID and date of birth to download the scorecard. Those who qualify in the Prelims round will be eligible to appear for the DAT Mains examination.

NID has also opened a rechecking facility for candidates who wish to verify their answer papers for marking or calculation errors.

• First visit the official website.

• Now click on “NID DAT 2026 Prelims Result – M.Des”

• Enter your registered email ID and date of birth

• Submit the details

• Download and save the scorecard for future reference

The scorecard provides details such as candidate name, roll number, category, marks obtained, and qualifying status. Candidates are advised to keep a copy for the next stage of admission.

Rechecking Window

The rechecking facility for the M.Des DAT Prelims result is open from February 12, 6 PM to February 14, 11:59 PM, 2026. Rechecking will only confirm whether all answers were marked, total marks were added correctly, and no question was left unchecked. NID will not re-evaluate answers or change marks beyond these checks. Requests for rechecking must be submitted within the given timeframe through the official portal.

NID DAT Mains 2026

Candidates who clear the Prelims will proceed to the Mains stage, which includes a Studio Test and a Personal Interview. The exams are expected to be conducted in March 2026, and details regarding the exact dates and admit cards will be announced on the official website.

Final admission to the M.Des programme will be based on the combined performance in Prelims and Mains. Candidates are advised to regularly check the NID official website for updates regarding the studio test schedule, interview details, and further admission instructions.
