Note :-
1. There will be a Physical fitness test (modified AAHPER fitness test) of 360 marks conducted by External Examiners appointed by Controller of Examinations., at Department of Physical Education, BHU at Varanasi only in the supervision of the C. E. or his representative(s).
2. Appearance in both Theory and Physical Fitness Test is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for
admission.
3. The practical examinations for shortlisted candidates will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only.
4. The conversion formula for Physical Fitness Test will be available at the time of Test.
5. Minimum 45% marks is mandatory in Physical Fitness Test for admission. The final merit for admission will be declared only after compilation of theory and practical marks of entrance test.

BHU PET MODE OF EXAMINATION
The BHU PET Examination shall be held as Computer-based test as well as a paper-based test (Wherever Applicable). The Examination shall consist of Objective Type, Theory Type and/or Practials and/or Physical Efficiency Test depending upon the specific course.
BHU PET MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
1. Question papers for LL. M. (2-Years)/(1-Year)/(HRDE), M. A./M.Sc. (Maths, Geography, Psychology, and Home Science) and all M. A. (excluding languages) will be in English and Hindi both.
2. Question papers of all Acharya will be in Sanskrit only
3. Question papers of all languages (except Sanskrit) will be in respective languages. Question papers for M. A. (Sanskrit) will be in English and Hindi both
4. Question papers of all M.Sc./ M.Sc (Tech)/M.Tech. Entrance Tests will be in English only.
BHU PET MARKING SCHEME
1. Three marks shall be awarded for each correct answer.
2. One mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.
3. Unattempted question will be awarded zero mark.
Minimum Qualifying marks
Candidate shall be selected in order of merit on the basis of aggregate marks secured in the Entrance Test provided he/she fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria and minimum qualifying marks in the test :-
1. For Candidates belonging to General/ OBC categories: Not less than 35% of the marks obtained by the topper of the concerned categories in the concerned Entrance Test.
2. For Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories: Not less than 25% of the marks obtained by the topper of the concerned categories in the concerned Entrance Test However, for MPA and MFA, minimum qualifying marks for theory paper will be 35% and in the practical minimum qualifying marks will be 45%. The Merit shall be based on the sum of two components viz., marks obtained in Theory and practical tests.
3. For M.P.Ed.*, minimum qualifying marks in Theory Paper shall be 35% while in Physical Fitness Test it will be 45%. The merit for M.P.Ed., will be the sum of two components viz. Marks in Theory Paper and marks in Physical Fitness Test. The University reserves the right to modify the above minimum qualifying marks. If lowering down in the minimum qualifying marks is done, the merit for MFA and MPA will be computed as follows: (i) Firstly those candidates will be put in the merit list according to their combined marks who have secured the minimum qualifying marks in the theory as well as practical; (ii) After that those candidates will be put in the merit list on the basis of their combined marks in theory and practical tests who have obtained the minimum qualifying marks in the practical test but could not get minimum qualifying marks in theory.
4. In case of MPA and MFA, the above procedure will be applicable for candidates of all categories. Further, a candidate will be considered deemed appeared in the PET who appeared in the Theory as well as Practical(s).

BHU PET EXAM APPLICATION PROCESS
The application process begins online. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can only fill out the application form.The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the BHU PET application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.
STEPS TO FILL BHU PET EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
Below are the steps that the students need to follow when completing the application form for BHU PET:
1. Registration: Open the BHU Online Entrance Test Portal by clicking on www.bhuonline.in for the online application process. Click on the “Apply for Admission” button. Students will be redirected to a new page having Applicant Login Box. Click on the “Register Yourself” link.
2. Filling up the BHU PET application form: Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the BHU application form 2022 and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.
Course Selection: Students must select the course of their choice and check their eligibility and entrance test dates etc and click on the Add course button.
Apply for Selected course: After adding the particular course, the status of the submitted application form will appear on the screen. Here candidates need to enter details of their college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.
3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): upload photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions as per specification. Images that are not as per prescribed specification shall not be considered and may lead to rejection of the application.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. NTA will open BHU PET application form correction window. The candidates will be allowed to correct / edit details in the form during this period. The correction has to be done online only after logging into respective accounts. There will be no requests accepted for correction via post/fax/emails.Most of the fields in the online application form will be available for editing. This will be a one-time opportunity, further chances to correct any details will not be provided. You can follow the given steps to access the BHU Application Form Correction feature:

Banaras Hindu University conducts counselling of BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test (PET) online. The counselling portal opens at bhuonline.in. The BHU PET counselling process includes downloading call letters, uploading scanned documents, entering preferences, checking allotment and paying the applicable seat confirmation fee. Candidates are called rank-wise in counseling. Candidates who will qualify BHU PET as per the result will receive an issued call letter to attend BHU PET 2022 Counselling. 1. Registration: Open the BHU Online Entrance Test Portal by clicking on www.bhuonline.in for the online application process. Click on the “Apply for Admission” button. Students will be redirected to a new page having Applicant Login Box. Click on the “Register Yourself” link.
2. Filling up the BHU PET application form: Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the BHU application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.
Course Selection: Students must select the course of their choice and check their eligibility and entrance test dates etc and click on the Add course button.
Apply for Selected course: After adding the particular course, the status of the submitted application form will appear on the screen. Here candidates need to enter details of their college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.
3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): upload photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions as per specification. Images that are not as per prescribed specification shall not be considered and may lead to rejection of the application.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI.
5. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of application fees.

BHU PET 2023: Admission to the Examination Centres
Candidates must bring the following documents to the Test Centre.
1. A printed copy of Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website.
2. One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the Examination.
3. The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the examination so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities well before time. The registration desk will be closed 30 minutes prior to the examination.
4. The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
5. Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time due to any reason i.e. traffic jam, train/bus delay etc, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Rooms/Halls. The NTA shall not be responsible for any delay.
6. A seat indicating Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates should find and sit on their allocated seats only. In case of a candidate changes room/hall or the seat on his/her own other than the one allotted, the candidature shall be canceled and no plea would be accepted for it.
7. For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of the test for any reason, a re-test shall not be held by the NTA under any circumstances.

BHU PET 2023: Admit Card
Eligible candidates can download the admit card with their credentials such as application number and date of birth. No candidate will receive a Admit card by priority mail, email, fax, etc. It includes details such as the candidate's name, test date, test time, and test center. National Testing Agency (NTA) will released the admit card .Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download admit card for the exam:
STEP 1- Visit the official website.
STEP 2- Click on the ‘Admit Card’ option.
STEP 3- Fill in the Application number and Date of Birth. Click on Submit button.
STEP 4- Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
STEP 5- Click on “Download Admit Card”.Save and print copies.
BHU PET 2023: Result
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the BHU result at www.bhuonline.in. Candidates will be able to download the result of BHU PET using their registration number. The candidates can get to know their subject-wise marks, total marks, state-wise ranks after checking the result. BHU PET 2023: Mode of Selection
Banaras Hindu University conducts counselling of BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) online. The counselling portal opens at bhuonline.in. The BHU PET counselling process includes downloading call letters, uploading scanned documents, entering preferences, checking allotment and paying the applicable seat confirmation fee.
