CMAT EXAMINATION 2025: LATEST UPDATE
NTA has released the official notification for CMAT exam 2025. Candidates can fill their applications from 14th November 2024 to 13th December 2024. Registered candidates can download the CMAT admit card on 20 January 2025 and as per the official notification, CMAT exam will be conducted on 25th January 2025.
OVERVIEW
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programmes in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated/ Participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an aptitude test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses at many B-Schools across India.
Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).NTA is conducting this Test since 2019. The CMAT is a three hours Computer-based Online Test which is conducted to evaluate the candidates ability across various segments like Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

3. For each incorrect response, 1 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
4. Un-answered/ un-attempted questions will be given no marks.
5. To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.
6. However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
7. In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates who have attempted it.

Analysis has been done on the paper which has been recently successfully conducted for CMAT on March 31st, 2021, followed by Previous Year Papers.
This year NTA conducted CMAT in two shifts from 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM and from 3 PM to 6.30 PM as a computer-based test.
CMAT 2021 Exam Analysis Section-wise
Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation
1. Unlike Slot 1 which had all single questions including 2 DI questions which were single/standalone questions, Slot 2 had one DI set with 4 questions. The remaining questions in Slot 2 were single questions.
2. The Quant Section was slightly tougher compared to the Quant section of CMAT 2020
3. In both slots, students reported that the section had a lot of easy questions or sitters that required the implementation of simple basic concepts.
4. As normally is the case, this section in both slots was dominated by Arithmetic based questions.

1. The Logical Reasoning section in both slots was quite doable and easier compared to the LR section of CMAT 2020.
2. There were 25 logical reasoning questions .3-6 questions were from Verbal Reasoning and the remaining questions were on Non-Verbal Reasoning.
3. All the questions were stand-alone in slot 1. However, in slot 2, there was one set of 3 questions on Sequential Output. In general, the questions were not lengthy and many questions were straightforward and very easy to solve.
4. According to students, the section had questions on Coding-decoding, Series, Analogies, Blood Relations, Circular Arrangement, Matrix Arrangement, Counting number of figures, Syllogisms, Visual Reasoning, Odd One Out, Sequential output etc.

1. There were significant differences between Slot 1 and Slot 2.
2. Slot 2 had only 5 questions of RC in 2 passages, whereas Slot 1 had 14 RC questions in 4 passages. In Slot 2 both the passages were easy to comprehend. The short passages in Slot 1were difficult.
3. In slot 2 there were 12 FIB questions in place of the 3 questions in slot 1. Slot 1 had predominantly grammar questions instead of Vocabulary.
4. The FIB questions were a mix of Vocab and Grammar, but most of them easy to answer.

Major Highlights
1. Overall, the test in both slots was slightly more difficult than CMAT 2020.
2. General Awareness Section was challenging in both the slots and will become the decisive
3. The test had no sectional timing.
4. The CMAT exam overall difficulty level was moderate.
5. General Awareness (GK) section was found tough with more questions on Static GK.
6. Logical Reasoning was easier but had very close answer options.
7. 14 RC based questions were placed in the Language Comprehension section
8. New section was optional and was not mandatory for all the candidates to attempt it. Only the candidates interested in this course needed to attempt this section.
9. Percentile cut off Merit will be prepared out of 400 marks, 5th optional section is to remain qualifying.

CMAT EXAMINATION 2025: LATEST UPDATE
NTA has released the official notification for CMAT exam 2025. Candidates can fill their applications from 14th November 2024 to 13th December 2024. Registered candidates can download the CMAT admit card on 20 January 2025 and as per the official notification, CMAT exam will be conducted on 25th January 2025.
OVERVIEW
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programmes in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated/ Participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an aptitude test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses at many B-Schools across India.
Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).NTA is conducting this Test since 2019. NTA does not organize any centralized CMAT selection process.CMAT Cutoff will be declared by each college separately and based on this, candidates can apply to the colleges of their preference as per their rank and score mentioned on the CMAT Merit list.
After satisfying the cut off described by the participating institutes, students will need to go through the selection process to get into their desired college. Under the CMAT selection process, candidates will need to undergo group discussion, a written ability test, and a personal interview.

1. Familiarity with CMAT Exam Pattern :- Preparing for CMAT means you should first become familiar with the exam pattern of CMAT. This way, you will be able to come up with a sound preparation plan.
2. Go Through the Entire Syllabus of CMAT:- Apart from understanding the exam pattern, you should know the CMAT syllabus completely. This will also help you focus on all the topics from which the questions are asked in the exam. Most of the questions asked in the paper are based on basic concepts, and there are also some tricky questions that may require logical thinking. So, focusing on all the topics is vital during CMAT preparation.
3. Regular Study is the Key :- It's important to set a fixed study routine for the CMAT exam as it will help you stay connected with the exam all the time. HOW CAN APPLY
The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

STEPS TO FILL EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
Below are the steps that the students need to follow when completing the application form for CMAT:
1. Registration: The first step was to register for the CMAT by visiting the official website of the exam, which is cmat.nta.nic.in. After this, they needed to click on the 'New Registration' tab and read the instructions carefully before proceeding. After successful registration, candidates were provided the registration number and password.
2. Filling up the CMAT application form: The next step is to fill CMAT application form. Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins.
Basic details: Here, candidates need to fill in the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centres, date of birth, gender, father's name or mother's name, address, etc.
Educational qualification, work experience & languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.
3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): upload photographs, signatures. After filling CMATapplication form, candidates will be asked to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature as per the given specifications.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any three cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking /Paytm /UPI.

ADMIT CARD
NTA has declared CMAT Admit Card Date on its official website. Eligible candidates can download the CMAT admit card with their credentials such as application number and date of birth. No candidate will receive an Admit card by email, fax, etc. It includes details such as the candidate's name, test date, test time, and test center. On the day of the exam, candidates must bring an original government-issued photo ID and a blue or black pen. Along with the downloaded admit card, all the necessary documents, and items. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download admit card for the CMAT exam:
STEP 1- Go to the official website
STEP 2- Click on 'Download CMAT Admit Card'
STEP 3- Fill in the application number and Date of Birth.
STEP 4- After providing the credentials, the candidates will have to click on the 'Submit ' button.
STEP 5- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
STEP 6- Finally, the candidates will have to download and print out the CMAT admit card.
RESULT
CMAT result has been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website. The result will be compiled based on Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after Declaration of Result of CMAT will be entertained. The raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for the computation of the Result of CMAT.There is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totaling of the result/score and no query in this regard will be entertained.

HOW CAN APPLY
The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

STEPS TO FILL EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
Below are the steps that the students need to follow when completing the application form for CMAT:
1. Registration: The first step was to register for the CMAT by visiting the official website of the exam, which is cmat.nta.nic.in. After this, they needed to click on the 'New Registration' tab and read the instructions carefully before proceeding. After successful registration, candidates were provided the registration number and password.
2. Filling up the CMAT application form: The next step is to fill CMAT application form. Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins.
Basic details: Here, candidates need to fill in the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centres, date of birth, gender, father's name or mother's name, address, etc.
Educational qualification, work experience & languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.
3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): upload photographs, signatures. After filling CMATapplication form, candidates will be asked to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature as per the given specifications.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any three cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form.
