How to apply | 1. Read the advertisement carefully, Before you apply. 2. The candidates should apply online through the official link on or before 11 March 2024. 3. Keep your Documents Whole, and at the time of submission check each document carefully. 4. Wherever an Application Fee is required for the Submission of an Application, It must be submitted on time, or else the Application will be rejected. 5. After applying online, the candidate should take a print out of the filled in application and duly put it in an envelope along with self-attested copies of relevant supporting documents/certificates, superscribing the post applied name for on the envelope should be sent to The office of the Registrar on or before 18 March 2024. 6. The candidates are advised to give their working mobile number and E-mail ID, and ensure their working till the completion of the selection process to avoid inconvenience. There will be no other means of contacting them except their e-mail & Mobile numbers. 7. Applications received after the due date will not be considered under any circumstances. 8. For any other information, visit the official site. General Instructions: 1. Candidates are required to apply online through University website www.iust.ac.in. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. The non – refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) shall have to be deposited as application fee through online mode by debit card / credit card/ net banking. The instructions for filling of online application are available on University website. 2. The candidates are advised to fill up the online application form carefully. Information not provided under the relevant heads / columns shall not be considered. 3. The candidates in employment (Govt. or Semi Govt.) on substantive position or otherwise should forward their applications through their employer. 4. Hard copy of application form complete in all respects duly supported by self-attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates and testimonials is mandatory to be submitted in the office of Registrar by or before the last date of submission of hardcopies of the application forms, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered. 5. The Candidates applying under various categories shall be required to produce the relevant category certificate/s duly issued by the Competent Authority failing which their candidature shall not be entertained. 6. Eligible candidates will be informed about the date and place of interview through University website / e-mail/ whichever suitable. However, University does not take any responsibility for non receipt or delayed receipt of the intimation by a candidate. 7. All relevant information / updates/ Addendum/ corrigendum shall be uploaded on University website www.iust.ac.in. only. The Candidates are advised to remain in touch with University website and notifying the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on University part. 8. Candidates who have been awarded Post Graduate / Ph.D degree from Foreign University should enclose Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected. 9. The time taken by candidates to acquire PG / M.Phil and /or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as teaching / research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions. Further the period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree simultaneously with teaching assignment without taking any kind of leave, shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of direct recruitment. The certificate to this effect issued by the Registrar of the Concerned University shall have to be attached by the candidate to claim for such experience. 10. The candidates having Ph. D. Degree are required to submit a certificate from the concerned University to the effect that the Ph.D degree obtained by him/ her is in compliance with the UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for awards of M.Phil/Ph.D degree) Regulation 2009 as per prescribed format (Annexure A). In case of failure to submit the said certificate, their Ph.D. degree shall not be considered. 11. Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience etc. at the time of appearing in the interview. 12. The University reserves the right to defer / not to filling up of any or all posts advertised here-in above, without assigning any reason thereof. 13. The University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of posts advertised here in above. 14. Only those candidates who are registered with Council of Architecture (COA) under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972 shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor (Architecture). 15. Experience shall mean professional experience and/or Teaching and/or Research in the field of Architecture, counted from the date of registration with Council of Architecture. 16. Experience if any shall be counted as on the last date of submission of the advertisement notice. 17. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time of the appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidate are fake or the candidate has undesirable/ clandestine antecedents and has suppressed any information, then his/her service shall be terminated ab-initio. 18. The University reserves the right to alter / insert any corrections/additions in the advertisement. before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications, for which the candidates are advised to remain in touch with the university website. 19. An undertaking is to be given by the candidate stating that ‘the publications submitted by them are free from any plagiarism and if any plagiarism is found later, their candidature/selection shall stand rejected’. 20. The University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate(s) at any stage in the process of selection in case any inadvertent mistake is detected even after the issue of appointment letter. 21. The process of selection may be by a presentation / lecture / interview or a combination thereof and/or the assessment of domain knowledge. xxii) No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview. 22. Candidates with Ph.D degree having passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991 having secured 50% or more marks in the Master’s Degree Examination shall also be eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. 23. Candidates must provide details with regard to the date of registration/date of joining, date of submission and date of award of degree for both M.Phil and Ph.D degrees, as the case may be, in the Application Form. 24. Any publications in predatory / dubious journals or presentations in predatory / dubious conferences shall not be considered for academic credit for selection & confirmation. With effect from 14-06-2019, research publications from journals indexed in UGC-CARE List only would be considered for all academic purposes. 25. The appointed candidates shall be bound to act in conformity with the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and rules of the University as well as a code of professional ethics as prescribed or may come into force. 26. Where the University does not have its own service rules, those prescribed by the Government of the UT for its employees are, mutatis mutandis, applicable to the University employees also. 27. The appointment order(s) in favour of the recommended candidate(s) shall not be issued until a satisfactory report about his / her character & antecedents and qualifications / experiences from relevant agencies / institutions is not received. 28. The selected candidate shall be governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS). 29.
