Note - 

1. Physical Fitness Test (modified AAHPER fitness test) of 300 marks will be conducted by External Examiners appointed by Controller of Examinations, at Department of Physical Education, BHU at Varanasi only in the supervision of the C. E. or his representative(s) for shortlisted candidates.

2. Appearance in both Theory and Physical Fitness Test is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for
admission.

3. The practical examinations for shortlisted candidates will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only.

4. The conversion formula for Physical Fitness Test will be available at the time of Test.

5. Minimum 45% marks are mandatory in Physical Fitness Test for admission. The final merit for admission will be declared only after compilation of marks obtained in theory and practical components of the Entrance Test and bonus marks (if any).

6. Admission of Physically Challenged candidates of any category is not permissible as candidates of this course are required to perform sports activities.

7. Medical Examination: Qualified candidates will have to undergo medical examination in the Students Health Care Complex. Those candidates who are declared medically fit by the Medical Board will be given admission.

BPA [Vocal/(Instrumental Music [North Indian Classical] - Sitar, Flute, Violin, Tabla)/ (Indian Classical Dance Kathak/ Bharatnatyam)] :- 

Note -

1. One practical Examination (performance and viva) of 45 minutes duration carrying 600 marks will be held.

2. The practical examinations for shortlisted candidates will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only. Appearance in both Theory and Practical Examinations is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for admission.

3. Questions will be based on the 3-Year Diploma Course of Vocal, Instrumental & Dance of BHU or equivalent Examination.

B. F. A. :- 

There will be two Practical Examinations.

1. Object drawing in pencil with light and shade of 90 minutes duration carrying 360 marks.

2. Memory Drawing from imagination of 90 minutes duration carrying 360 marks (in any medium i.e. Pencil, Colour Pencils, Pastels, Crayons, Water Colour, Poster Colour, etc.).

3. The practical examinations for shortlisted candidates will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only.

4. Appearance in both Theory and Practical Examinations is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for
admission.

B.Voc. in Food Processing & Management / B.Voc. in Medical Lab Technology (under Vocational Courses) :-

BHU UET MODE OF EXAMINATION

The BHU UET Examination shall be held as Computer-based test as well as a paper-based test (Wherever Applicable). The Examination shall consist of Objective Type, Theory Type and/or Practials depending upon the specific course.

BHU UET MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

The Questions in the BHU Undergraduate Entrance Examination shall be available in English and Hindi.

BHU UET MARKING SCHEME

1. Three marks shall be awarded for each correct answer.

2. One mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.

3. Unattempted question will be awarded zero mark.

Minimum Qualifying marks

Candidate shall be admitted in a course according to merit drawn on the basis of aggregate marks secured in the Entrance Test provided he/she fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria and minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test. Minimum qualifying marks in an Entrance Test shall be determined as follows:

1. For Candidates belonging to General/ OBC categories: Not less than 35% of the marks obtained by the topper of the concerned categories in the concerned Entrance Test.

2. For Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories: Not less than 25% of the marks obtained by the topper of the concerned categories in the concerned Entrance Test However, for MPA and MFA, minimum qualifying marks for theory paper will be 35% and in the practical minimum qualifying marks will be 45%. The Merit shall be based on the sum of two components viz., marks obtained in Theory and practical tests.

3. For BPA and BFA : Minimum qualifying marks for theory paper will be 35% and in the practical minimum qualifying marks will be 45%. The Merit shall be based on the sum of two components viz., marks obtained in Theory and practical tests. For B.P.Ed. minimum qualifying marks in Theory Paper shall be 35% while in Physical Fitness Test it will be 45%. The merit for B.P.Ed. will be the sum of three components viz. Marks in Theory Paper, marks in Physical Fitness Test and Bonus marks for sports achievement (if any). The University reserves the right to modify the above minimum qualifying marks.

Educational Qualification:- A candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag., if he/she has passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology) OR equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

AGE LIMIT:-Not to be less than 16 years and not more than 25 years

B.Tech. in Food Technology

Educational Qualification:-A candidate shall be eligible for admission to passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English from a Board/University recognized by the Institute/Board. Only those candidates who have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent G.P.A. in the aggregate are eligible for admission to B.Tech.

AGE LIMIT:-Not to be less than 17 years and not more than 23 years

B.Tech. in Dairy Technology

Educational Qualification:- A candidate shall be eligible for admission to p passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English from a Board/ University recognized by the Institute/Board. Only those candidates who have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent G.P.A. in the aggregate are eligible for admission to B.Tech.(Food Technology). The requirement of marks in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Tribe and PwD will be as per University Rule.

AGE LIMIT:- Not to be less than 17 years and not more than 23 years

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry

Educational Qualification: Candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H., if he/she has passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or the Indian School Certificate Examination or Intermediate examination (or equivalent examination) in Science from a recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed each of the aforesaid subjects individually.

AGE LIMIT:- Not to be less than 17 years and not more than 25 years.

B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Educational Qualification:-Applicant who has successfully completed/ is appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course.

LL.B. (Hons.) Bachelor of Laws

Educational Qualification:-B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet OR any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of admission to LL.B. Course securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years

General Knowledge & Current Affairs

1. This section was Easy.
2. Lengthy and time-consuming as there were some unexpected questions.
3. Questions were less in number from this section

English

1. The students found the English section Easy compared to the previous year.
2. Verb related questions were asked
3. The English section did not consume much of the candidate’s time.

Mathematics

1. The mathematics section was Moderate
3. Tricky for those who are not from a maths background

BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test Overview

Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET) is conducted by NTA on behalf of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). It is a common entrance test held at the national level for admission to UG courses offered at BHU. The exam is held in CBT mode for maximum courses, however, for a few courses OMR based exam is held.
