MHT CET: EXAM PATTERN
MHT CET Examination will be held as an online mode (Computer Based Test) for PCM and PCB groups separately. The question paper will contain a total of 150 Questions for the PCM group and a total of 200 Questions for the PCB group . The total mark is 200 for both groups. In mathematics 2 marks for each question. And each subject one marks. The total duration of the examination will be 180 Minutes.

MHT CET: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
The medium for examination shall be English / Marathi / Urdu for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Mathematics paper shall be only in English only.
Note: The option of medium/language of question paper once exercised by the candidate shall be irrevocable. Candidates are instructed to please select the Medium /Language of Question Paper very carefully before submitting the application of the MHT CET examination.
MHT CET: MARKING SCHEME
1- One mark will be allotted for each correct answer.
2- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
3- In the mathematics section, each question is 2 marks.
4- And for physics ,chemistryand biology subject, One mark will be allotted for each correct answer.

MHT CET EXAM ELIGIBILITY
Candidates willing to apply for MHT CET Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility MHT CET are decided by the conduction body itself.
The candidate’s eligibility for MHT CET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-
1- Nationality
2- Age Limit & Relaxations
3- Educational Qualifications
MHT CET: NATIONALITY
Candidates applying for MHT CET Examination must be a citizen of India & domicile of Maharashtra.
MHT CET: AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS
There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET.
MHT CET: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
All the candidates passed/ appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET.
Eligibilty for Maharashtra
Type | Eligibility Criterion |
Type-A | (i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State;
|
Type-B | A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate. |
Type-C | A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP. |
Type-D | A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking. |
Type-E | Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 village of Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the State Government for this purpose shall be considered. |
Minority Candidature -
The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.
Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET
(i) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET as Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHT-CET for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
(ii) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.
For Engineering / Technology -
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MHT-CET.
For Pharmacy -
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates
(i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

(ii) should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
(2) All India Candidature Candidates
(i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
(ii) should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.
For Pharm D -
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates
(i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)
(iii) The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
(2) All India Candidature Candidates -
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National.
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)
(iii) The candidate should have obtained non zero positive score in the NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET; However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

STEPS TO FILL MHT CET EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
1- Registration: In the first step, candidates will have to first register for MHT CET on its official website. For registration, candidates will have to verify their mobile number and email Id by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates were required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender along with creating a username and password.
2- Filling application form: After successful registration, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal with the username and password created during MHT CET registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill in the personal, educational, and communication details of the application form.

MHT CET EXAM CENTRES
The MHT-CET will be conducted by online mode (CBT- Computer Based Test) at almost all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra as well as at Capital Districts of the selected states outside Maharashtra like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh depending on the availability of the candidates.

MHT CET 2024: Who can apply
Educational Qualification
All the candidates passed/ appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET.
Nationality/Citizenship
1- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
2- Candidate must be domiciled in Maharashtra.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET.
MHT CET 2024: How can apply
1- Registration: In the first step, candidates will have to first register for MHT CET on its official website. For registration, candidates will have to verify their mobile number and email Id by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates were required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender along with creating a username and password.
2- Filling application form: After successful registration, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal with the username and password created during MHT CET registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill in the personal, educational, and communication details of the application form.
3- Uploading Scanned Images: In this step, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.
