MHT CET: EXAM PATTERN

MHT CET Examination will be held as an online mode (Computer Based Test) for PCM and PCB groups separately. The question paper will contain a total of 150 Questions for the PCM group and a total of 200 Questions for the PCB group . The total mark is 200 for both groups.  In mathematics 2 marks for each question. And each subject one marks. The total duration of the examination will be 180 Minutes.

MHT CET: MODE OF EXAMINATION

MHT CET Examination will be held as an online mode(Computer Based Test). Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.

MHT CET: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

The medium for examination shall be English / Marathi / Urdu for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Mathematics paper shall be only in English only.

Note: The option of medium/language of question paper once exercised by the candidate shall be irrevocable. Candidates are instructed to please select the Medium /Language of Question Paper very carefully before submitting the application of the MHT CET examination.

MHT CET: MARKING SCHEME

1- One mark will be allotted for each correct answer.

2- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

3- In the mathematics section, each question is 2 marks.

4- And for physics ,chemistryand biology subject, One mark will be allotted for each correct answer.

MHT CET EXAM ELIGIBILITY

Candidates willing to apply for MHT CET Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility MHT CET are decided by the conduction body itself.

The candidate’s eligibility for MHT CET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

2- Age Limit & Relaxations

3- Educational Qualifications

MHT CET: NATIONALITY

Candidates applying for MHT CET Examination must be a citizen of India & domicile of Maharashtra.

All the candidates passed/ appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12^th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET.

The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

(i) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET as Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHT-CET for admission to B.E./B.Tech.

(ii) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

For Engineering / Technology -

(i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

(ii) should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

For Pharm D -

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates

 (i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

OR

(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)

(iii) The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

(2) All India Candidature Candidates -

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National.

 (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

OR

(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)

Physics Section

1- The questions asked in the Physics paper was moderate.

2- The maximum questions asked in this subject will be numerical-based questions.

3- Important topics were Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory of Gases (2 Questions), Rotational Motion, Modern Physics, Nuclear Physics, Circular Motion.

4- Most of the questions are expected from class 12th textbooks.

Chemistry Section

1- The Chemistry paper was found to be from Easy.

2- The majority of questions were conceptual and easy to solve.

3- Important topics were Chemical Bonding ,s-Block Elements.

Biology Section

1- The questions asked in the Physics paper was easy to moderate.

2- The question paper was balanced with an almost equal number of questions from Botany and Zoology.

3- A vast majority of questions were from Organisms, Animal Husbandry, Human Reproduction etc. .

4- The paper was not very lengthy and an attempt of 45 to 50 questions could be considered quite good.

Mathematics Section

1- Most of the questions are expected to be easy but the percentage of difficult questions is also expected to be on the higher side.

1- Registration: In the first step, candidates will have to first register for MHT CET on its official website. For registration, candidates will have to verify their mobile number and email Id by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates were required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender along with creating a username and password. 

2- Filling application form: After successful registration, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal with the username and password created during MHT CET registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill in the personal, educational, and communication details of the application form.

3- Uploading Scanned Images: In this step, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

4- Payment of Fees: In the next step, candidates will have to pay the application fees of MHT CET online mode through debit/credit card or internet banking.

5- Print of Application Form: Finally, candidates were advised to take a print of the completely filled MHT CET application form.

MHT CET EXAM CENTRES

The MHT-CET will be conducted by online mode (CBT- Computer Based Test) at almost all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra as well as at Capital Districts of the selected states outside Maharashtra like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh depending on the availability of the candidates.

Step 3: Login using your MHT CET Application number and date of birth

Step 4: Click on the 'Submit' button

Step 5: Your MHCET hall ticket will be displayed on the screen

Step 6: Download the same and take a printout for all future references

Step 1: Visit the MHT CET official website

Step 2: Click on the link to the MHT CET result.

Step 3: Candidates have to enter their application number and date of birth.

Step 4: Also, enter the captcha code and log in.

Step 5: The MHT CET result appear on the screen.

Step 6: Candidates may check all the details carefully and download the same.

MHT CET COUNSELLING PROCESS

After the MHT CET result is announced, the authorities conduct online MHT CET counseling for qualified candidates. Candidates have to participate in the counseling process to be considered for admission based on MHT CET results.
