Exam at the Test Centre in India: There are no scheduled breaks in the exam. It is advised that you do not take any breaks during the exam. However, you can choose to take unscheduled breaks if you want during the session with the permission of the Test Administrator. An unscheduled break means the exam timer will not stop. If you still choose to take a break, you will get lesser time to answer the questions in the section and if there is very little time for the section to end it may timeout and you will be unable to answer the remaining questions of that section on your return. No extra time will be given to complete the test. Upon re-entering the testing room, you must show a valid ID.
Online Proctored Exam at Home: There are no scheduled breaks in the test. A candidate cannot leave their seat during the exam and the proctor has the right to terminate the test if the candidate moves away from the view of the Proctor.
Medium Of Examination:
Questions in Examination shall be available only in English Language.
Marking Scheme:
No negative marking
Equal weightage to all sections

Questions in the NMAT by GMAC™ exam are selected from the question pool for each examinee based on his or her performance on the questions previously answered. The questions a candidate receives are targeted at his or her ability level; therefore, a high-scoring candidate generally receives a more difficult sample of questions than a low-scoring candidate. The NMAT exam is scored by obtaining the candidate’s final ability estimate based on the probabilistic model approach of modern test theory and transformed to a scaled score ranging from 12 to 360.
